On his first surf trip Daniel paddled out and promptly struggled to stay on the board, let alone above the water. But somewhere in the wipeouts it clicked: surfing is a near-perfect metaphor for life, all highs, lows and everything in between. That idea became a performance. Blending science, psychology and fantasy, Surfer turns the ocean into a stage and a whole sea of themes to dive into.

Surfer is a short, immersive silent disco theatre show that has toured from Terschelling all the way to Australia, winning crowds over with a mix of learning and play. It works at summer festivals, inspirational events and in theatres, and can run several times a day. It is performed in English and easy to follow even at a moderate level.
