Say My Lines: Privacy Policy

Last updated 11 September 2026

Say My Lines is an app for learning a text by saying its lines out loud and listening back. This page explains what happens with your data. The short version: everything stays on your phone.

What the app stores

The text you paste or type, the voice recordings you make, your chapters and your position in the text. All of it is stored only on your device, inside the app's own storage. It is included in your normal iPhone backup if you have backups turned on.

What the app does not do

The app has no account, no server and no analytics. It does not send your text or recordings anywhere, it does not track you, and it shows no advertising. Nothing leaves your phone.

Microphone

The microphone is used only while you hold the record bar. The app asks for permission the first time you do that. You can withdraw it at any time in Settings on your iPhone; the app then keeps working, except for recording.

Deleting your data

Deleting a recording in the app moves its audio file to a bin inside the app, where it is removed automatically after seven days. Deleting the app removes everything at once.
